Job Description:
This is an opportunity to join this premier, dynamic and fast-growing team at a key inflection point! The Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for preparing and reviewing the books and records of Clearlake’s management companies (currently 25 consolidated entities).

Some of the specific tasks are as follows:
• Manage and supervise the accounting department and accounts payable team
• Responsible for the quarterly close process and monthly soft close, including revenue recognition, daily bank reconciliations, accrued and prepaid expenses, operating leases, intercompany reconciliation and elimination, and other general book-keeping tasks
• Responsible for revenue recognition, including recording of management fees and calculation and billing of portfolio company monitoring fees
• Responsible for booking and reconciling cash daily, and billing accounts receivable to ensure timely collection
• Assist in preparing quarterly unaudited financial statements and partner capital reports, and annual audited financial statements and footnotes, audit requests, and annual tax workpapers
• Collaborate with FPA and Accounts Payable teams to close faster and provide better reporting to management
• Mentor and train the Corporate Accounting and Accounts Payable teams to create efficiencies in the close process, automate and streamline processes
• Assist with other accounting functions and projects, as needed, including expense allocation and billing, income allocation, capital calls and distributions, systems implementations

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 5-7 years of relevant experience required
• Fund or asset manager experience required
• Strong organizational skills with incredible attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with other departments, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to a fast growing and changing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite, or similar accounting systems
• Systems implementation experience and accounts payable experience (Concur and Bill.com or other similar AP systems) is a plus
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
